Understanding VICTOR.AD & Amazon DSP Ads

You're probably tired of having to book demos, sit through sales pitches, and give your email just to see if something actually works. We get it.

That's why there's no signup, no credit card, no "schedule a call first" barrier. Test the full AI planner right now. Experience it, then decide if it's worth your time.

If you want to get the most out of the tool, we're happy to walk you through it. No pressure, just help.
If you've looked at Amazon DSP and thought "this is too complicated" or "I don't have the team for this," you're not alone. Most advertisers feel the same way.

Here's the reality:

Amazon DSP (Demand-Side Platform) is Amazon's programmatic advertising platform that allows advertisers to reach audiences both on and off Amazon properties. Unlike traditional Amazon Ads (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands), DSP enables display, video, and audio advertising across Amazon sites, apps, third party websites, and connected TV devices.

Building effective DSP campaigns requires expertise in choosing audiences, allocating budgets, creating ads, and selecting platforms. Our tool uses AI to analyze your product and generate campaign strategies based on Amazon DSP best practices.

Without DSP: You're limited to search ads (Sponsored Products/Brands). Limited access to streaming TV, audio, or display across the web. Limited reach, limited formats.

Amazon Managed Service: Artificial minimum budgets. You get an account manager, but limited strategic input - they manage many accounts and can't dedicate time to optimization conversations.

External Agencies: Weeks of back-and-forth emails, calls, and revisions before campaigns even start. High fees, slow execution, and you're often not their priority client.

Victor.ad: AI powered planning that gives you agency level strategy in minutes, not weeks. No artificial minimum budgets. Full control over your campaigns. Professional presentations ready to execute.

You might be thinking: "If we use a tool, does that mean we don't know DSP well enough?"

Actually, the opposite. The best agencies use tools to work smarter, not harder. Amazon itself doesn't give you planning tools. They assume you have a team to build everything from scratch.

Amazon requires elevated minimum spends without the support you need. Amazon doesn't offer a full planning tool for DSP campaigns, only limited reach analysis tools.

Building a DSP media plan manually requires:

• Deep knowledge of audience targeting (demographics, interests, in-market, lifestyle, contextual)
• Understanding of budget allocation across multiple ad formats
• Timeline planning, including when to pause campaigns (called "flighting")
• Creative strategy aligned with funnel objectives

Our tool acts as an expert planner, guiding you through this process step by step with AI powered recommendations based on your product and objectives.

The math agencies get wrong:

Most think about AI as "can it replace my media planner?" That's the wrong question.

A single planner creates maybe 4-5 comprehensive DSP proposals per week. That's their ceiling.

With Victor.ad, that same planner reviews and refines AI-generated strategies instead of building from scratch. Output jumps to 20-30 proposals per week. Same person, 5x the client capacity.

That's not automation. That's leverage.

You're not replacing the 100% of one role. You're amplifying the 90% of repetitive work across your entire team—freeing them to focus on the 10% that actually requires human judgment.
Before trusting a new platform with your campaigns, you probably want to know who's behind it. Fair.

Plan DSP Advertising LTD is led by Victor, who spent years inside Amazon building the automation tools that powered their largest advertisers' campaigns—and then managed £1M+ monthly budgets agency-side.

Why that matters now:

There's a massive gap between what AI can actually do today and what most businesses believe it's capable of. That gap is where opportunity lives—and where money is being left on the table.

At Amazon: Victor created internal automation tools including bid management systems, campaign optimization platforms, and reporting dashboards. He was one of only 4 Amazon Ads policy experts in Europe, specializing in DSP ad compliance and strategy.

After Amazon: Victor managed campaigns for major brands at leading agencies, earning an Amazon Performance Growth Award for campaign excellence.

This platform exists to close that knowledge gap. The strategies and automation that only Amazon's top advertisers could access before—now available through AI, for businesses of any size.
No. You can explore the full AI planner immediately. No intro calls, no signup, no credit card required.

Most tools make you wait days for a demo slot. That's days you could spend actually building campaigns.

That said, if you want guidance, we're happy to help. Detailed video coming soon.
We love hearing from you! Here's how to reach the right team:

Got questions about how the tool works? hello@victor.ad
Need help or found a bug? support@victor.ad
Interested in enterprise plans or partnerships? sales@victor.ad

We typically respond within 24 hours on business days. For urgent technical issues, please include "URGENT" in your subject line.

Platform Compatibility & Integration

Switching tools is a pain. Relearning workflows, migrating data, risking disruption to live campaigns. We know.

That's why we designed Victor.ad to work alongside your existing partners, not replace them. We're partner-agnostic, meaning the media plans and audiences you create work with any Amazon DSP seat.

Three ways to use your VICTOR.AD output:

Direct API push: Connect your DSP seat (through any partner) and we'll push campaigns directly
Excel export: Download structured campaign files for manual upload to Amazon
Managed service: Let us handle execution through our Amazon Ads Verified Partner account

Reporting stays with your platform. If you use Perpetua for execution, reporting flows through Perpetua. VICTOR.AD handles the planning; your chosen platform handles the execution and analytics.

We want to make this as simple as possible for you, whichever partner you prefer.
Absolutely. Many of our users work with agencies or tech partners for campaign execution.

VICTOR.AD is a planning tool, not a replacement for your existing relationships. Think of it as adding a specialized strategist to your team:

• Your agency handles execution, optimization, and reporting
• VICTOR.AD accelerates the planning phase with AI-powered audience and strategies
• You get professional presentations ready to share with your partner in minutes instead of days

If your agency asks where the strategy came from, you can tell them you used VICTOR.AD for planning, or keep it between us. Either way, they'll appreciate getting a cleaner brief.

Output & Deliverables

You're probably wondering: "Is this going to give me something I can actually use, or generic AI output I'll have to redo?"

Here's exactly what you get:

• Complete audience targeting strategy
• Budget allocation across platforms (Amazon sites, third party exchanges, streaming TV)
• Timeline and flighting recommendations
• Creative strategy suggestions
• Professional Google Slides presentation ready to share with stakeholders

Coming Q1 2026: We're an Amazon Ads Verified Partner with approved API access. We're building integration so you can launch campaigns directly from our platform to your Amazon DSP account (or we can manage them for you) - with full reporting and analytics.
Google Slides. Once generated, you can download it in other formats (PDF, PowerPoint, etc.) directly from Google Slides using their export options.
We're actively testing custom branded templates and plan to include this as part of our paid subscription plans.

During the preview period: Presentations use our professionally designed template optimized for Amazon DSP campaign proposals.

Product Compatibility & AI Capabilities

Yes! Our AI tools work with three input types:

Amazon products (ASINs) and Amazon Links
Non-Amazon e-commerce websites: AI analyzes product pages from Shopify, WooCommerce, or any online store
Plain text descriptions: Describe your product and the AI extracts relevant details

The AI analyzes your product from links or descriptions, then suggests budgets, ad types, audiences, and platforms based on Amazon DSP best practices, no matter where you sell.
Absolutely. The tool is designed for any product being promoted through Amazon DSP, not just products sold on Amazon.

Whether you're driving traffic to your Shopify store, brand website, or external landing page, the AI will:

• Extract product details from your URL or description
• Recommend appropriate Amazon DSP audience segments based on product category and attributes
• Suggest creative strategies aligned with your conversion goals
• Build a complete media plan optimized for off-Amazon conversions

Note: Amazon restricts certain products. We haven't activated category blockers yet during this preview phase to keep testing simple.
You're probably imagining the worst case: AI makes a confident recommendation, you trust it, your client loses money, and you look incompetent. Let's address that directly.

The tool works with you, not for you. This reduces AI errors and keeps you in control.

Other AI tools give you a black box. You get the output, hope it's right, and discover mistakes after launch. That's when it's expensive to fix.

Instead of delivering a fully automated plan, Victor.ad guides you through multiple steps in a user-friendly interface.

This gives you full control and direction at each phase:

Phase 1: Review and confirm product analysis, brand details, and campaign objectives
Phase 2: Adjust geographic targeting, budgets, timelines, and creative strategy
Phase 3: Review AI-recommended audiences and select which segments to use

You can override any suggestion. For paid plans, we'll offer expert review where Amazon DSP strategists check your campaign before launch.
You've been burned before. An AI tool promised results, you trusted it, and the output was generic garbage that wasted your time. Why would this be different?

The AI recommends. You decide. Every suggestion is visible before you approve it. Budget allocations, audience segments, platform choices. Nothing happens without your sign-off.

Built on proven strategies. The recommendations aren't invented by AI from scratch. They're based on methodologies used by Amazon DSP specialists managing real budgets for real brands.

We'd rather you trust the tool slowly than regret trusting it too fast.
You've probably seen AI tools that give different answers every time you ask. That's fine for creative brainstorming. It's dangerous for budget allocation.

The problem with raw AI: Large language models are probabilistic. Ask the same question twice, get two different answers. That variability is a liability when you're planning real media spend.

How we solve this:

Victor.ad doesn't just hand you a wall of AI-generated text and hope you can parse it. We built a step-by-step interface where you review, confirm, and redirect the AI at every phase.

Phase 1: AI analyzes your product. You confirm or correct what it found.
Phase 2: AI suggests budgets, timelines, platforms. You adjust before it continues.
Phase 3: AI recommends audiences. You select which ones to keep.

Each step feeds into the next. If the AI misreads your product category in Phase 1, you fix it there—before it builds an entire campaign on the wrong foundation.

Think of it like guardrails. The AI has the intelligence to understand your product and market. The interface ensures it stays on track toward your actual business goal, not whatever direction it might wander.

You're never handed a finished plan and asked to trust it. You're guiding the AI the entire way.
Agencies don't have secret audience magic. They have process, experience, and time.

Same methodology, faster execution. Top agencies build audiences by analyzing product ASINs, identifying behavioral signals, and layering targeting criteria. Victor.ad does the same thing, automated.

What takes hours, done in minutes. Manually researching competitor products, finding relevant in-market segments, building custom audience combinations. The AI handles the tedious work so you can focus on strategy.

Real results. Our audience methodology has driven strong campaign performance for brands working with experienced DSP teams. You're getting the same approach, packaged in a tool.

The difference isn't quality. It's speed and accessibility.
We'd love to promise you 10x ROAS. But anyone who guarantees specific numbers before seeing your product, budget, and market is guessing.

What we can say:

• The methodology is based on strategies used by experienced Amazon DSP teams
• Audience targeting follows best practices that have driven real results for real brands
• The tool is designed to match what top agencies deliver, at a fraction of the time and cost

Performance depends on you too. Your product, your creative, your landing page, your budget, your competition. We give you a strong foundation. Execution and optimization matter.

Want personalized guidance? Schedule an expert review at the end of the planning flow. We'll look at your specific situation and give you realistic expectations.

Getting Started & Saving Progress

Not during the preview period. You can build complete campaign plans and presentations without any Amazon account. Registration is free, if you need help reach us support@victor.ad

For campaign launch (Q1 2026): You'll have two options:

Connect your own Amazon DSP seat: If you have an existing DSP account, we'll integrate directly for one-click campaign deployment
Use our managed DSP service: We can run campaigns through our Amazon Ads Verified Partner account on your behalf
Yes! Changes are saved automatically as you work with limitations for non-registered users.

Demo mode: Progress is saved in your browser session
Registered users: All media plans are persistently stored and accessible at victor.ad/workspace/plans

You can return anytime to complete unfinished plans, update objectives, or create variations of existing campaigns.
Currently: You receive a detailed plan and presentation that can be manually implemented in Amazon DSP or shared with your agency/Amazon rep. We will be happy to help you generate Amazon Structured campaign excel templates if you have an Amazon DSP account already.

Coming Q1 2026: Direct integration will enable automatic campaign launch from our platform to Amazon DSP, including:

• One-click order creation
• Automated line item setup with your selected audiences
• Budget and schedule synchronization
• Advanced reporting dashboards tracking performance
Test it yourself in 15 minutes. That's not marketing—that's how long most users take to complete a full media plan with a client-ready presentation.

Don't take our word for it. Open the tool, enter a product, and time yourself.

Compare that to how you're doing it now:

• Days waiting for agency proposals
• Hours in spreadsheets building audience lists manually
• More hours formatting everything into slides
• Revision cycles. Email chains. "Can we tweak the budget split?"

Every week spent in that loop is a week your competition is running campaigns.

What agencies tell us:

"We used to spend a full day preparing a pitch deck for a new prospect. Now we can send them a draft strategy the same day they reach out—while they're still warm."

That's not about impressing clients with speed. It's about capturing opportunities before they go cold.

The AI handles the heavy lifting: analyzing your product, recommending audiences, allocating budgets across platforms, and generating a polished presentation. Premium plans will include custom-branded templates with your agency's logo and colors.

You guide the strategy at each step instead of building from scratch.

Customization & Creative Assets

Currently, we provide strategy recommendations including:

• Suggested ad formats (display, video, audio)
• Creative messaging guidance aligned with your funnel objectives
• Platform-specific best practices

Coming soon: We're extending our offering to include:

• Audio Ad creation - AI-generated voice ads with script writing
Custom Component-Based Ads (Dynamic eCommerce Ads): Automated display ad generation using your product feeds
• Image and video ads
We understand that every campaign has unique requirements. If the AI gets you 90% of the way there but you need specific adjustments, we've got you covered.

During the planning flow: Leave notes at the final step describing what you need. Our team reviews these and can configure custom audiences before pushing to Amazon.

Examples of customizations we support:
• Adding specific audience splits
• Including regional or niche inventory sources
• Custom audience naming for your reporting needs
Yes, testing different audience segments is a smart strategy, and we support it.

How it works today: VICTOR.AD generates your recommended audience strategy. Once uploaded to Amazon DSP, you can duplicate orders and adjust audience parameters to create test variants, for example, testing women aged 40-45 against 45-54.

Coming soon: Built-in audience split testing that automatically creates multiple segments within a single campaign plan, so you can compare performance without manual duplication.

If you need help setting up audience tests right now, mention it in your campaign notes and we'll configure the splits for you.
Yes. Custom audience naming helps keep your reporting clean and your brand consistent.

How it works: Let us know your preferred naming convention (for example, "VIP YourAgency Audiences" or "YourBrand - Consideration - Q1")

This is especially useful if you manage multiple clients or work alongside other agencies, making it easy to identify which audiences came from your strategy in Amazon DSP reports.

Pricing & Product Status

Free during the preview period with paid subscription plans coming soon.

Current limitations during preview: Free tier: 4 campaigns per month per company with limits so everyone can preview the tool
Yes, the AI delivers quality suggestions, but there are intentional limitations to improve the preview experience:

What works well:
✅ Audience suggestions are relevant with minimal errors
✅ Budget and timeline recommendations follow best practices
✅ Product analysis (Amazon, non-Amazon, plain text)
✅ Natural language objective extraction

What we're still working on:

USA audiences only: You can enter international locations, but the system will still suggest US audiences (no geo-filtering yet). For example, selecting Paris as your target will still suggest US audience segments and platforms like Roku (which has minimal French presence).

No budget warnings: The tool won't stop you from setting budgets that are too low or too high for your target market, even for USA locations where we have full data. We offer a call with an expert to review your media plan before launch.

No automatic creative generation or Amazon push yet - We're actively building these features for Q1 2026 launch.

Example scenario showing current limitations:
You could design a campaign for a CBD product, target Paris with a €500 monthly budget, and the tool would proceed with only a limited warning about CBD product restrictions. Then provide US-based audience recommendations and suggest Roku as a platform despite its limited French availability. While the underlying strategy logic is sound, the geo-validation and category restrictions aren't yet fully enforced.

We'd rather you know the limitations upfront than discover them after investing your time. That's how we build trust.
Every product is different. Every market has quirks. You're right to wonder if a tool can handle yours.

Here's how we've designed for that:

The AI adapts to your inputs. Whether you're selling supplements, software, or sneakers, the system analyzes your specific product attributes and recommends audiences accordingly.

You stay in control. At every step, you can adjust, override, or skip AI suggestions. If something doesn't fit your situation, change it.

We're constantly improving. Customer feedback drives our feature roadmap. If something doesn't work for your use case, let us know at support@victor.ad. We're actively adding capabilities based on what users need.

Still not sure? Start with a test campaign. Use the free preview to see exactly what the tool recommends for your product before committing to anything.
Fair question. You're putting competitive information into a tool. You want to know where it goes.

Your campaigns stay within Victor.ad. Only you, your team members, and our Victor.ad staff can access your media plans. Our team may review campaigns to help you plan better or troubleshoot issues. We don't share campaign data with other users, competitors, or third parties.

We don't sell your data. Your product information, audience strategies, and campaign details are not used to train models for other customers or sold to advertisers.

Amazon-level security standards. As an Amazon Ads Verified Partner, we're required to meet Amazon's strict security requirements. Data encrypted in transit and at rest. Authentication required for all access. You can delete your data anytime.

If you have specific compliance requirements, reach out to sales@victor.ad and we'll walk through our security practices.
You're probably wondering if we'll suddenly charge you or lock your campaigns. We won't.

Your existing work stays accessible. Media plans you've created won't disappear. You'll still be able to view and export them.

Paid plans will offer more. Higher campaign limits, custom branding, priority support, and direct Amazon DSP integration when it launches.

We'll give you notice. Before any pricing changes take effect, you'll have time to decide. No surprise charges, no "your trial expired" lockouts.

We're building a business on trust, not gotchas.
Waiting feels safer. The technology will mature. You'll have more time to evaluate.

Here's what's actually happening:

There's a gap right now between what AI can do for campaign planning and what most advertisers realize it's capable of. That gap won't last forever. As more people figure this out, the advantage shrinks.

Early adopters aren't just saving time. They're building client relationships and operational muscle while competitors are still doing everything manually.

The pattern is familiar:

Agencies that adopted programmatic early dominated the next decade. The ones that waited spent years playing catch-up. Same story with social advertising. Same story with Amazon Ads itself.

This isn't about being first. It's about not being last.

In a couple of years, AI-assisted campaign planning will be expected. The question is whether you'll be the agency that built expertise now—or the one explaining to clients why you're just getting started.

We'd rather you test the tool for 15 minutes and decide it's not for you than miss the window because you were "waiting for the right time."
Let's do the math that most people avoid.

Option 1: Hire a DSP specialist
Salary: £40,000-£80,000/year
Plus benefits, training, management overhead
Capacity: 15-20 campaigns per month if they're experienced

Option 2: Agency retainer
Monthly fee: £3,000-£10,000 for DSP management
Plus media commission (typically 10-15% of spend)
Response time: Days to weeks for new campaigns

Option 3: Victor.ad
Current: Free preview with 4 campaigns/month
Paid plans coming soon

The shift that's happening:

Work that used to require senior strategists billing £150/hour can now be drafted in minutes. That doesn't mean you eliminate the strategist—it means you free them from repetitive planning work.

This isn't about being cheap. It's about reallocating budget from manual processes to actual media spend and strategic oversight.

Your experienced people should be reviewing and refining campaigns, not building first drafts from scratch. That's where Victor.ad fits.
It sounds like you've built something that's delivering results. That's not easy—most businesses are still figuring it out.

So why would you change what's working?

You probably shouldn't. Not completely.

Victor.ad isn't designed to replace your agency or tear up your process. It's designed to plug into what you already have and multiply the output.

What we typically see:

• Agencies use us to create first-draft proposals faster, then layer their expertise on top
• In-house teams use us to test campaign concepts before committing media dollars
• Advertisers use us to bring better briefs to their existing partners

The question isn't "replace or keep."

It's: what if your current process could handle 3x the campaigns without 3x the headcount? What if your agency could focus on optimization instead of building plans from scratch?

If your current setup genuinely can't be improved, we're happy to have been wrong. But it costs nothing to test that assumption.

Migrating from The Trade Desk

Amazon DSP platform fees are typically 4% to 8% compared to TTD's 12% to 15%. For Programmatic Guaranteed deals, fees can go as low as 1%.

This fee difference is significant. The Trade Desk's stock crashed 38% in a single day in August 2025, the largest drop in company history, partly due to competitive pressure on pricing.

Additionally, depending on timing, your reseller, or if Amazon has launched a new ad product, you may get free Amazon impressions as incentives.
Yes, significantly. Amazon has expanded its inventory partnerships to include Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, ESPN, Max, Roku, and more. Combined with Amazon's own properties (Prime Video, Freevee, Twitch, Fire TV), the inventory gap that once existed has largely closed.

Where Amazon still lags:
• Digital out of home options are very limited
• Prime Video inventory can disappear or get expensive during holidays and Prime Day
• Some niche third party exchanges may still have better TTD integrations
Amazon lets you build audiences from actual shopping behavior: what people browse, add to cart, and purchase. This first party purchase data is unique to Amazon and unavailable on any other DSP.

Privacy trade off: Amazon limits third party measurement and tracking tools to protect user privacy. You'll have fewer choices for external verification, but this is by design. Amazon prioritizes protecting the integrity of their audience data.

If you sell on Amazon, you also get closed loop attribution showing exactly which ad impressions led to purchases.
No. Amazon has significantly lowered the barrier to entry. The old $50k/month minimums are gone for most advertisers.

Need help getting started? We're happy to help you run your DSP campaign. You can schedule a call with us on the last step of our planning tool.
Not yet. Amazon DSP is entirely budget based. You can't set impression level caps or frequency targets the way you can on TTD.

Good news: New betas are available that address this limitation. Expect impression level controls to roll out more broadly soon.
The core concepts are similar, but the navigation and workflow are different. TTD users typically find Amazon DSP learnable but initially frustrating.

Key difference: Amazon is transitioning to Campaigns → Ad Groups (similar to TTD), but not all reports and interface elements reflect this change yet.

It's not harder, just different. Expect 2 to 3 weeks to feel comfortable. Reach us if you need support.
Standard reporting covers the basics, but advanced analysis requires Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC).

AMC uses SQL style queries rather than point and click reports. The learning curve is steeper than TTD's reporting interface, but we can help you get set up and running.
This is where Amazon DSP requires more work than TTD.

The challenge: Amazon's ad tag and Conversion API are harder to implement than competitors. Most teams don't know how to set them up correctly, leading to messy or incomplete conversion data.

If you sell on Amazon: You get automatic closed loop attribution. No pixel setup needed. This is a major advantage.

If you don't sell on Amazon: Budget extra time for technical implementation. Consider working with a partner who has experience with Amazon's tracking setup.
No. Prime Video inventory availability and pricing fluctuate significantly.

Peak season challenges:
• Inventory disappears or becomes expensive during Q4 holidays
• Prime Day creates similar scarcity
• Popular programming drives up costs

Plan campaigns around these windows, or have backup inventory strategies ready.
We'll be straight with you. There are real challenges. Pretending otherwise would waste your time.

Ad approval process: Getting ads approved is painful, especially for healthcare, legal, finance, or anything remotely sensitive. Amazon's policy team is thorough but slow.

Conversion tracking complexity: If you're not selling on Amazon, setting up Amazon's ad tag and Conversion API is harder than TTD's equivalents. Most teams struggle with implementation.

Amazon Support quality varies: Support gets noticeably worse during peak season (Q4, Prime Day).

Need help navigating these challenges? We're happy to help you run your DSP campaign. You can schedule a call with us on the last step of our planning tool.
<link>Victor.ad</link> was built for exactly this.

Our AI powered planning tool encodes years of Amazon DSP expertise and best practices. Instead of learning platform quirks through trial and error, you get agency level campaign strategies in minutes.

What you get:
• Complete media plans with audience targeting, budget allocation, and platform recommendations
• Client ready Google Slides presentations (custom agency branding coming soon)
• 5x more campaign plans with the same team, no agency back and forth
